THUNDER BAY, Ont. – ThunderCon, Thunder Bay’s Premiere Fan Convention, is announcing the opening of advanced ticket sales on July 1, 2018.

With a full line-up of guests this year, including Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’s Nana Visitor, Star Wars artist Brian Muir and legendary Marvel comic artist Jim Starlin, convention organizers anticipate attendance to match or exceed last year’s.

“Purchasing tickets in advance is a good idea,” says Media Director Heather Dickson. “Advance tickets come with a savings so there is a clear benefit from buying ahead!”

ThunderCon is a family-friendly two-day event, celebrating fandom in all its various forms, and the admission structure reflects that.

There are single day tickets, weekend passes and special rates for children and families. 2017 exceeded expectations with over 4,600 attendees going through the Valhalla Inn’s doors.

“We’ve doubled attendance every year,” says Dickson. “And with the quality of guests and programming this year, we anticipate meeting or exceeding last years numbers!”

Making it a good idea to get your tickets early! Tickets are available July 1 at www.thundercon.org.
