Toronto-area man arrested for drug trafficking in Thunder Bay

THUNDER BAY — A man from the Greater Toronto Area faces drug-related charges as the result of a police raid on a residence in the city.

OPP released details of the March 1 incident on Tuesday.

Members of the OPP-led Provincial Joint Forces, Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team, supported by Nishnawbe Aski Police and Thunder Bay Police, executed a search warrant at a residence on  Archibald Street South.

They seized suspected cocaine with a street value of $25,000 and approximately $6,000 in cash.

A 22-year-old resident of Mississauga was arrested on charges of possession for trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.

The accused was released from custody pending a court appearance on March 31.
