THUNDER BAY -- A 26-year-old Toronto man has been arrested following a home takeover investigation.

Thunder Bay Police say they took the accused into custody after receiving information about a possible home takeover in the 200 block of Leith Street.

The information was given to police while on patrol on the city's south side on Saturday afternoon.

Evidence revealed during the course of the investigation suggested the accused was allegedly involved in the drug trade. Police later attended the residence in question, showing up at about 6:40 p.m. on Saturday.

A male suspect was located at the location and arrested, refusing at first to provide his name. His identification, however, was later located and the man's identity was confirmed.

Police located and seized suspected cocaine, cash believed to be in excess of $5,000 and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

Nathaniel Aleksander Dobusz-Stewart, 26, has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, obstructing a peace officer and being unlawfully in a dwelling.

He appeared in court on Sunday and has been remanded into custody, with a future appearance date schedule.
