ATIKOKAN, Ont. – An Atikokan resident has been charged after police receive traffic complaint late Tuesday night.
Ontario Provincial Police were called to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Tuesday shortly after 10 p.m.
Police conducted a traffic stop after locating the suspect vehicle on Main Street in Atikokan.
As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old Atikokan resident has been charged with operating a conveyance with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 or more milligrams in 100 millilitres of blood.
Police impounded the driver’s vehicle for seven days and the drivers licence was suspended for 90 days.
The driver will appear in Atikokan Provincial court on March 18 to answer to his charge.
