Traffic complaints leads to charges

Tailgating on Highway 17 has ended with one person being taken into custody.

KENORA – A traffic complaint on Highway 17 has resulted in charges for one man.

According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint of a pickup truck tailgating on Thursday around 8 a.m.

Police located the vehicle in Kenora where they tried to conduct a traffic stop with the vehicle failing to stop.

Officers were later able to successfully use alternative methods, blocking the vehicle on Highway 17 west near Highway 641.

One person was taken into custody without incident.
