Motorists in the Cameron Street area may need an alternate route until mid-fall.

The city on Monday announced they’ll be closing Cameron Street, between Balmoral and Vickers streets, for about five months to perform rehabilitation work on a bridge.

The work will include concrete repairs, waterproofing and paving of the bridge deck, as well as the replacement of the railing system and structural strengthening.

Local traffic will be able to access Cameron Street at Vickers and Balmoral.

Construction is slated to begin on May 6.
