KENORA, Ont. – A traffic stop in Kenora has resulted in numerous charges for a Kenora man.
According to OPP, police conducted a traffic stop on River Drive in Kenora early Sunday morning.
After speaking to the driver, it was determined that he had been consuming alcohol and he was arrested at the scene.
Police say during the arrest, an interaction occurred between the accused and the officer and the officer was assaulted.
As a result of the investigation, a 50-year-old Kenora man has been charged with driving while ability impaired, driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol in blood, assault a peace officer, resisting peace officer, driving while disqualified and uttering threats- cause death or bodily harm.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 3.
