Police are evacuating residents near a train derailment in Emo, Ont. as a precaution on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020.

EMO, Ont. -- Residents near Highway 602 near Emo, Ont. are being evacuated as a precaution following a train derailment.

OPP say they are asking people within 800 metres of the incident in all directions to leave their homes.

Police are on scene and say there is no risk to public safety at this time.

The derailed train is blocking the crossing.
