A man is in hospital after being struck by a train Monday afternoon.
The man was spotted by a passing train near the Marina Park overpass just before 2:30 p.m.
He was still conscious and speaking when emergency crews arrived and was sent to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with non-life threatening injuries.
Superior North EMS deputy chief Wayne Gates couldn’t say what those injuries were.
“They’re very serious injuries at this time,” he said.
There was a minor delay to freight rail traffic as a result.
Police have concluded their investigation.
