Train passenger arrested, police find Oxycodone

Police in Longlac found more than $12,000 of Oxycodone pills after arresting a wanted man Sunday. Officials with the Greenstone detachment of the OPP say that officers received information that a man may be transporting Oxycodone.

Police in Longlac found more than $12,000 of Oxycodone pills after arresting a wanted man Sunday.

Officials with the Greenstone detachment of the OPP say that officers received information that a man may be transporting Oxycodone. That man was expected to arrive in Longlac on a train.

Police say the person was wanted by the Thunder Bay Police Service for being unlawfully at large.

Greenstone OPP officers located Kenneth Taylor, 38, of Ginoogaming First Nation Territory exiting a passenger train in Longlac just before 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9.

They arrested him based on the Thunder Bay Police Service warrant.

While at the Greenston OPP detachment, police say they discovered about 105 pills, believed to be 80-milligram Oxycodone pills.

Police say those pills have an estimated street value of $12,600.

The suspect has been charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The charges against him have not been proven in court.
