KENORA, Ont. -- A Cessna float plane crashed near this Northwestern Ontario city Friday evening.

The pilot lost power just 150 feet off of the water at Upper Louise Lake, and was forced to fly into the nearby treeline.

Both the passenger and the pilot escaped uninjured, but the plane was damaged extensively.

The Transportation Safety Board says a rough-running engine is likely the cause.
