THUNDER BAY — Local residents looking to score some new finds for their homes will have a chance this weekend.

The city is encouraging people to put out reusable items that are still in working order that they no longer want, but other people might be able to use.

On Saturday and Sunday residents are allowed to put items out at their curb, with a "free" sign, for others to take. Items can be small appliances, furniture, toys and more as long as long as the items are in reusable condition.

Items can be put to the curb as early as Friday at 5 p.m. The city's only stipulation is any leftover items be brought off the curb by the end of the day on Sunday at 7 p.m.
