THUNDER BAY – This city’s popular Treasure Exchange Days event returns this weekend. Residents who have items in good condition that they wish to give away may leave them on the curb any time after 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, labelled “free.” Residents are invited to tour their neighbourhoods on Sept. 11 and 12 to find treasures.

All items not taken must be removed from the curb by 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept 12. Solid Waste & Recycling Services will not collect these items.

Treasure Exchange Days, which began in 2014, are an Action Item in the City’s Solid Waste Management Strategy. The event had to be paused in 2020 and early 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
