The Chief of Police for the Treaty 3 Police Service has resigned.
Conrad Delaronde will serve the final three months of his contract until November.
The resignation letter states that the past several months have been extremely difficult on Delaronde, but he will continue to provide the best possible service until his employment ends.
There recently were concerns the Police Service would be disbanded because of funding problems and disputes with the union representing the Treaty 3 officers.
But a new board has pledged to address those issues and keep it operating.
