KENORA, Ont. -- The chief of the Treaty Three Police Service is facing a suspension.
The Treaty Three Police Services Board on Friday released a statement, announcing that police chief Louie Napish had been suspended with pay, effective as of Tuesday.
The suspension will remain in effect until the board has had an opportunity to review the matter, according to the statement, which does not provide any further details about the reason for the suspension.
The board is scheduled to hold an in-camera meeting on July 24.
Deputy police chief Jeff Skye has been appointed acting chief for the duration of the suspension.
