(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have received several complaints involving subjects trespassing on private property while operating snow machines.
On Monday December 21, 2015 at approximately 1:30pm, the OPP received a complaint of a group of youths driving snow machines at the Kenora Golf Course.
Police attended and located several youths driving on the course contrary to the “No Trespassing” signs and “No snow machines” signs posted on the course. There was extensive damage to the course from the tracks on the snow machines.
The investigation is continuing.
Snow machine operators are advised to stay off private property without the consent of the property owner. They may be charged with trespassing and, in the event of damage to the property, mischief.
