Trio arrested in Kenora drug bust

Multiple charges laid after police seize cash, drugs and drug paraphernalia at a Heenan Place residence.

KENORA – A trio of Kenora residents have been arrested and charged with multiple drug offences, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.

Police on Friday said they executed a search warrant at a Heenan Place residence in Kenora this past Tuesday, where they found drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia.

Gregory Blackwood, 50, Tyler Blackwood, 19, and Stephanie James, 44, each face charges of trafficking in Schedule 1 and Schedule 4 substances, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, possession of a device to intercept private communication and three counts of possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose.

All three were released on promise to appear back in court on Sept. 24.
