Habitat for Humanity has found its three-quarter ton Dodge pick-up truck.
Operations at the ReStore on Squier Street came to a halt after employees reported the truck stolen to police on Friday. The ReStore is going through construction so the truck, which is estimated to cost $50,000 to $70,000, was kept in the back. Although the area has a fence, the gate wasn’t locked.
CEO Diane Mitchell said they found the vehicle Monday evening in a parking lot in the city’s East end.
“The vehicle is in good shape with no apparent damage,” she said in a media release. “Habitat for Humanity Thunder Bay is so grateful for the support we received today from the media and the public in finding the truck.”
With the truck returned, Mitchell said everything will be back to business as usual starting Tuesday.
