Trump confirms border with Canada to temporarily close

Non-essential travel will not be allowed until the ban is lifted, though commerce is expected to continue.

THUNDER BAY – U.S President Donald Trump has confirmed the Canadian and American border will be temporarily closed.

“We will be, by mutual consent, temporarily closing our Northern Border with Canada to non-essential traffic. Trade will not be affected. Details to follow!”

Trump did not release a timeline.
