THUNDER BAY — Ontario Provincial Police have charged a motorist with fail to yield after a collision Sunday evening at Highway 11-17 and the Twin City Crossroad.
OPP said that shortly before 8:00 p.m., a southbound SUV on the Twin City Crossroad approached the intersection and proceeded into the path of an eastbound SUV on Highway 11/17.
The impact caused the southbound SUV to overturn, coming to rest on its roof.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Two passengers in that vehicle, and the driver and occupant of the southbound SUV, all escaped injury.
Police said both SUVs sustained extensive damage.
