THUNDER BAY — Two southern Ontario men face charges after drugs were found at a north side home.

Thunder Bay police said officers were called to the 200 block of Marlborough Street on Wednesday morning after receiving reports of unwanted people in an apartment.

Upon arrival, the responding officers saw evidence of drug trafficking, which led to two suspects being arrested and taken to the police station.

Police were able to obtain a search warrant, which led to the seizure of suspected fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine, along with more than $37,000 in cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

The estimated street value of the drugs is $15,000, police said.

A 26-year-old from Cambridge and a 24-year-old from Toronto are each charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling house, three counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Both appeared in court on Thursday and remain in custody with future appearance dates scheduled.
