THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay Police have arrested two people on charges of assault after separate incidents at Thunder Bay Transit's City Hall transfer hub.
The first occurred just after 10 a.m. on Friday.
Police say a man assaulted a bus driver by spitting on him.
Officers located the accused in the 400 block of George Street within half an hour and arrested him without further incident.
Julian Jordan Mawakeesick, 31, is charged with assault and breach of probation.
The second incident occurred just before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
According to police, say a transit employee had approached a woman who had been banging on the side of a bus.
When confronted, she became aggressive and attacked him.
The accused was still on the scene when police arrived.
Veronica Gwendolyn Thomas, age 37, was arrested and taken to police headquarters without further incident.
