THUNDER BAY -- A local man and woman have been charged with arson after a Gorham Township building was destroyed by fire.
On March 27, provincial police officers and the Lappe Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Kam Current Road in Gorham Township.
In a release issued by the OPP Thursday afternoon, police said the fire that destroyed the unoccupied residence was suspicious in nature.
After a lengthy investigation, a 22-year-old man was charged with arson and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and a 22-year-old woman was charged with arson.
The woman will appear in court on June 16 and the man’s court date is set for June 23.
