Two charged after police seize guns and drugs

Raid of South Cumberland Street address yields two firearms and quantities of cocaine and crack cocaine.

THUNDER BAY – Two people face a number of weapons and drug charges after police seized a loaded semi-automatic handgun and a sawed off shotgun during a Thursday morning raid.

Thunder Bay Police Service gangs and guns unit officers executed a warrant at a multi-residential unit on South Cumberland Street, where they found the firearms as well as $4,000 worth of cocaine and crack cocaine along with $7,000 in cash.

A 20-year-old man and 21-year-old woman from Toronto were arrested and are being held for a Friday court appearance.
