THUNDER BAY -- Two of the city's splash pads will remain open until Labour Day.

According to the City of Thunder Bay, North End Recreation Centre and Franklin Park splash pads will remain open Wednesday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. until Sept. 7.

“We’re pleased to be able to keep two splash pads available until Labour Day,” said Cory Halvorsen, Manager of Parks and Open Spaces. “It’s been a warm summer, and we hope to continue to enjoy more of the same through the first week of September.”

Physical distancing and sanitation measures are in place, and splash pads are staffed during operating hours.
