Two men are in the hospital with minor injuries following a Lakeshore Drive crash that left a vehicle’s front end completely smashed in.

Officers with the Thunder Bay detachment of the OPP responded to a call around 4:10 p.m. about a two vehicle collision on Lakeshore Drive near Shuniah township Tuesday.

Police say a commercial vehicle had stopped for a school bus when an SUV collided into that truck’s rear end.

Paramedics treated both men involved in the collision for minor injuries and then took them both to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

No one on the school bus was injured as a result of the crash.

Police reduced the two-lane stretch of roadway to a single lane until a tow truck could move the damaged vehicles.

As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, police had not laid any charges.

The investigation continues.
