THUNDER BAY -- Two people are in hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a Friday evening collision involving a motorcycle.

The motorcycle collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of Arthur Street and Kingsway Street just before 6:30 p.m.

The two people onboard the motorcycle were taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with injuries that Thunder Bay Police Service Sgt. Sean Mulligan said would likely require surgery but were non-life threatening.

The intersection was closed to traffic for nearly four hours while both the traffic and forensic units conducted their investigations.

The investigation is still ongoing.
