The Ontario Ministry of Labour is investigating a workplace incident that took place at Thunder Bay's Abitibi-Bowater sawmill.
Two people were sent to hospital after a crane collapsed Tuesday afternoon.
The incident took place sometime after 12:30 p.m. on the third floor of one of the buildings at the mill.
A ministry spokesperson said an overhead crane fell, injuring two people.
Police, fire and ambulance were called to the scene.
One of the victims was unconscious after the accident, and they were both sent to hospital.
The extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.
A Ministry of Labour inspector was at the site Tuesday afternoon and an engineer is also being brought in.
More details are expected to be released Wednesday.
