THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay Police Service have arrested and charged two individuals with aggravated assault.

Officers were dispatched to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre after receiving a report that an adult male was present with injuries that were suspected to have been caused by an assault last Monday.

The police, in a news release, said the victim's injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

Two suspects were identified — a 46-year-old man and a 40-year-old man.

The first man was arrested by the break and enter and robbery unit officers on Tuesday and the other on Wednesday morning.

The accused appeared in court and have been remanded into custody with future appearance dates.

It is Newswatch policy not to name people facing criminal accusations when we are unlikely to follow the case to its conclusion in the courts.
