(KENORA, ON) Two Kenora men are facing weapons charges following an incident in downtown Kenora involving a pellet gun.
On Friday September 18, 2015 just before 9:30 pm, members of the Kenora detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a number of 911 calls reporting two males in the downtown area, one was reported to be wearing a covering on his face and carrying what appeared to be a rifle.
Police immediately attended and located the subjects fitting the description, with the suspect firearm. They were arrested without incident and the investigation revealed the gun to be a pellet gun. As a result of this investigation the following men have been charged with Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose contrary to section 88 of the Criminal Code.
· Andrew POTTKER-20 years old of Redditt
· Cole SHERRED-19 years old of Kenora
They have been released and are to appear in Kenora Court on October 29, 2015.
