Two new cases of COVID-19 diagnosed

Both cases listed as close contacts and both people are self-isolating.

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit said it has learned of two new COVID-19 cases in its catchment area.

Both cases, discovered on Wednesday, are listed as close contact cases and both are in self-isolation. 

It brings the total number of cases in the district since the pandemic began to 254. There are currently 67 cases considered active, 10 fewer than on Wednesday.

A total of 185 of the cases are considered resolved, with two deaths resulting from COVID-19 since March.
