Two new COVID-19 cases announced

One case considered a close contact case, the other with no known exposure.

THUNDER BAY – Two new COVID-19 cases have been diagnosed in the Thunder Bay area.

On Thursday, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit announced the two new cases, which brings the region’s total to 143.

Twenty-five are considered active, all of which have been announced over the past week, most of which are related to a case related to the Adult and Teen Challenge organization. 

The first case is listed with no known exposure, while the second is considered a close-contact case. Both people are self-isolating.

Of the 143 cases, 118 are considered resolved, including one death.
