Two new COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay district

Number of active cases in Thunder Bay District remains at three.

THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reported two new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, both in the Thunder Bay area.

One case has no known exposure source, while the other is under investigation.

Two previously-diagnosed cases were resolved since Monday, leaving the active caseload across the district unchanged at three.

No district residents with COVID-19 are currently receiving treatment in hospital.

Since the onset of the pandemic, 3,340 people in the District of Thunder Bay have been diagnosed with COVID-19.  

Sixty-four people who contracted the virus subsequently died.
