THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay district has 10 active COVID-19 cases as of Wednesday morning.
The district health unit reported two new cases, and no resolved cases, in the previous 24 hours.
Both new cases are the result of travel outside Northwestern Ontario, and both the infected individuals live in the City of Thunder Bay or immediate area.
The district's active case count has remained at or below 10 since June 23, 2021.
In the Northwestern Health Unit, based in Kenora, two new positive COVID-19 cases were also reported on Wednesday.
Both are in the District of Rainy River.
There are currently five active cases in the NWHU's service area.
