THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reported two new COVID-19 cases in its service area Monday.
Six previously diagnosed cases in the district were previously resolved, so the active case count fell to 18 from 22 on Friday.
Contact tracing has been unable to determine the source of exposure for one of the two new cases, while the other case is still being investigated.
TBDHU also reported Monday that only one district residents is now in hospital receiving treatment for COVID-19, compared with four on Friday.
In terms of vaccination rates, as of Saturday, 90 per cent of Thunder Bay district resident aged 12 and over have now been double-vaccinated, according to Ontario Ministry of Health data.
