In Oliver-Paipoonge, Mayor Lucy Kloosterhuis won her re-election bid after collecting 1,142 votes. That was enough to defeat her opponent John Graveson who was favoured by 517 voters who cast ballots by Monday night.

Joining the mayor in council chambers are Jim Byers, Eric Collingwood, Bernie Kamphof and Allan Vis.

Shuniah incumbent Reeve Maria Harding also won to retain her title, defeating challenger Peter Tighe.

But Neebing’s Steven Harasen failed in his bid to continue as the municipality's reeve. Taking the title instead was Zygmunt Polkowski, who was one of three challengers.
