OPP released details Tuesday about the outcome of a search conducted under a warrant at an address on Fort William First Nation on July 30.
Police seized suspected cocaine and crack cocaine, half a dozen imitation firearms, ammunition, four cell phones, $1,500 in cash, digital scales, and an SUV as offence-related property.
A 40-year old woman is charged with 15 offences including failure to comply with a release order, driving while prohibited, possession of cocaine for trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of property obtained by crime.
A 25-year-old man is charged with failure to comply with a release order and possession of cocaine for trafficking.
The OPP-led provincial guns and enforcement team initiated the intelligence-led investigation in June, joined by the OPP organized crime enforcement bureau, the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service and the Anishinabek Police Service.
It is Newswatch policy not to name people facing criminal accusations when we are unlikely to follow the case to its conclusion in the courts.
