THUNDER BAY — Police have apprehended two men they were looking for on charges of second-degree murder.
The arrests of Haratio Shawayahamish, 18, and Landon Achneepineskum, 20, were announced Tuesday afternoon after Thunder Bay Police were deployed in force to a residence in the 100 block of Blucher Avenue.
The pair is accused in the death of 31-year-old Ryan Peter Legourrierec, who was found dead in a Tamarack Place residence on Aug. 30.
TBPS said investigators had been tipped off about the men's whereabouts.
Multiple police units were deployed to the north-side residential neighbourhood, and members of the public were advised to avoid the area until the situation was resolved.
