Two suspects sought in armed Mac's robbery

THUNDER BAY – An overnight armed robbery at a Mac’s Convenience Store on South James Street has police on the hunt for a pair of male suspects.

THUNDER BAY – An overnight armed robbery at a Mac’s Convenience Store on South James Street has police on the hunt for a pair of male suspects.

In a release issued on Wednesday, Thunder Bay Police say the two men entered the store about 4 a.m’ and threatened the clerk with knives, demanding he open the till.

The suspects fled toward Gore Street with cash and cigarettes.

Police say the suspects were either in their teens or early 20s.

The first is described as possibly Aboriginal of an average build, wearing black pants, red shoes, a black windbreaker-style jacket with gray or white piping and a black hat with a grey bill.

The second male is described as possibly being Caucasian, about 5-foot-5 with a slight build. He had short hair covered with a black hoodie and black sweatpants.
