THUNDER BAY -- While the city’s jobless rate remains among the lowest in the province, Statistics Canada numbers show it did rise slightly in October.
The new Statistics Canada employment figures for October were released Friday, and show the local rate of unemployment rose to 5.1 per cent, up from 4.9 per cent in September.
The Ontario average for October dropped to 6.5 per cent in October from the 7.1 per cent recorded in September.
