Union Gas customers can expect to save about $90 a year on their natural gas bill.
The natural gas supplier announced Tuesday a nine per cent decrease in prices effective April 1. The reduction will apply to all Union Gas customers.
Manager Ian Stewart said the reduction was because they were able to pay less for the natural gas molecule and continue to maintain the costs in delivery.
“The rates for natural gas are still the lowest in over a decade,” Stewart said.
“This reduction shows that natural gas is a very economical way to heat your home. The other thing to look at is that gas has gone down in price so much compared to 10 years ago.”
Stewart said there will be some small differences between the north and south regions.
