THUNDER BAY -- The office workers at Thunder Bay's Bombardier plant have given their union a strike mandate for its contract negotiations.
Around 120 member of COPE, the Canadian Office and Professional Employees Union, voted Wednesday.
COPE Local 81 representative Don Talarico says a "large majority" of the workers voted to take strike action, if the bargaining team is unable to reach a deal.
The union's last contract expired in August.
Negotiations with Bombardier continued today, with two more days scheduled in December.
The exact percentage of the strike mandate vote was not made public.
