THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay’s United churches plan to present Good Friday and Easter Sunday services online.

According to a release, the United Church community will practice physical distancing while offering up services via remotely operated cameras in each of the churches.

Feeds from each church will be streamed through Trinity United’s Facebook Page and the Trinity United website.

Good Friday’s service begins at 11 a.m. and Easter Sunday’s will start at 10:30 a.m.

About 5,000 people on average have tuned into weekly live-streams of Sunday services over the past three weeks.

Broaddway, Pinegrover, St. Paul’s, Westminster, Harmony and Trinity United Churches will all take part.

Sunday music will be provided by the Cosbey family string quartet. Virtually combined choirs will also be staged from each of the churches.
