THUNDER BAY - The United Way estimates it has cut its shortfall in half, though the organization still has a long way to go to meet its campaign goal by the end of the year.
The organization issued a media release Friday afternoon, announcing they are about $50,000 off pace as of earlier this week with about two more weeks remaining until Dec. 31. They said in November they were $100,000 off track.
The United Way still needs to raise about $870,000 to reach their $2.6 million target.
