The Thunder Bay United Way concluded its 2010 annual campaign, but the organization received one final cheque Wednesday afternoon.
Officials with RBC Royal Bank presented donations from their branches across the region, including a big chunk from the RBC in Dryden.
Ten different branches between Kenora and Wawa campaigned to raise money for the Thunder Bay United Way, reaching a grand total of $15,800. The branch in Dryden had the top donations of all the RBCs in the region.
Although the United Way is centred in Thunder Bay, the agency provides help for the regional food bank, the March of Dimes, and the CNIB, all of which provide services in Dryden.
The United Way's Adele Rosa says Dryden and all areas of the region will see donations put to good use for their community.
The Thunder Bay United Way is one of RBC's biggest fundraising beneficiaries, with the rural communities having their biggest year for donations.
And they're already planning to raise even more money next year.
