University receives more than $1.74M for research projects

Lakehead University researchers are celebrating the announcement of more than $1.75-million being invested into a number of the University’s research projects.

Lakehead University researchers are celebrating the announcement of more than $1.75-million being invested into a number of the University’s research projects.

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council has awarded the funding for about a dozen different projects. Doctor Aicheng Chen received the most – $375,000 through one program for his chemistry research along with $120,000 through another program.

Three of the grants were awarded to LU professors working at the Thunder Bay Regional Research Institute.
