At about 5:30 pm Sunday afternoon, (20 September 2105) police, fire and EMS responded to an auto/pedestrian collision in the intersection of Hodder Avenue and Arundel Street.
A Toyota RAV 4 driven by a 27 year old female driver had stopped for the posted stop sign on Arundel Street and was in the process of making a left turn onto Hodder Avenue when she struck the 38 year old female pedestrian in the crosswalk.
The pedestrian was taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre by ambulance with what was believed to be minor injuries.
Officers have concluded the investigation and the driver of the vehicle will be charged with a turning violation.
