UPDATE: Homicide investigation continues

City police are asking the public for assistance as they continue to investigate the city's seventh homicide.

The Thunder Bay Police Service continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the homicide of Nazareth Andrew KWANDIBENS

Officers were originally dispatched to a residential address in the 300 block of Arundel Street just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13 following reports of a death. The scene was officially released on Sunday, Nov. 17. Meanwhile, a post-mortem examination of the victim took place in Toronto on Saturday, Nov. 16. 

Investigators with the service’s Major Crimes Unit are examining evidence of this ongoing homicide investigation. 

Police announced the arrest of Johnathon Mark MCKAY, 40, of Thunder Bay, on Thursday, Nov. 14. He was subsequently charged with Second-Degree Murder in connection with the death of KWANDIBENS.
