Update: Monday's collision on Waterloo Street is now a fatality

The motor vehicle collision that occurred on Monday September 9th at 11:00 pm, on Waterloo Street south of Cameron Street between a GMC Jimmy and a Dodge Ram pickup truck, has now resulted in a fatality.

The driver of the GMC Jimmy, a 27 year old Thunder Bay male, succumbed to the injuries sustained in the collision overnight and he has now passed away.

Next of kin has been notified. The deceased male's name is not being released by the Thunder Bay Police Service at this time.

The investigation is ongoing. The Thunder Bay Police Traffic Unit is asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has any information that may assist with the investigation to contact them at 807-684-1276 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
