(UPDATE) Police say missing 49-year-old man's body recovered

THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay Police say a body recovered near Chippewa Park was that of missing 49-year-old man Joseph Loroff. In a release issued on Saturday afternoon, police said foul play was not suspected.

THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay Police say a body recovered near Chippewa Park was that of missing 49-year-old man Joseph Loroff. 

In a release issued on Saturday afternoon, police said foul play was not suspected. 

Earlier in the day emergency services blocked the juncture of Sandy Beach Road and Whiskey Jack Crescent, just southwest of Chippewa Park. 

Police had declared Loroff missing on Friday and a gray pickup truck matching the description of his vehicle was towed from the scene, accompanied by a police cruiser around 1:30 p.m..
